WebJun 18, 2011 · Thanks for this, my lo has symptoms of colic and reflux and I'm currently using gaviscon and colief but was thinking about using infacol instead. Doctor did say he would give me colief on prescription next time if gaviscon was not helping (I'd already bought a bottle and at £11.99 not cheap!) Just as GossipVic has said colief is a god send it works wonders but most shops do not stock it on the shelfs you must ask at a chemist and it cost aroun £14 for a small bottle, but well worth it.

Up until yesterday we were adding gripe water and colief to his bottle (similar to dentinox chemist told me!) but we did this for 3 weeks and had no improvement so have changed him to a comfort milk now. g. pantalone fatui harbinger

First up, Colief. Colief is a lactase enzyme that you put into baby's milk (it works with breast milk and formula) to reduce the level of lactose in the milk. Infacol is Simethicone, which breaks down the surface tension of bubbles, so the baby doesnt have a million tiny bubbles in his tummy causing pain, they all join together into one big bubble, and hey presto, a big burp. pantalone flare
